In the end we finally fixed the leak and we were able to get the heating system up and running for the
entire house. This is good news, since winter is just around the corner.. yes in my book that is bad news.
A little note on our lawn work, despite the lack of rain and the feeding of wild turkeys our grass is
starting to grow in some areas. What we need is a day of a good steady rain to soak my lawn as I do not
know how good the well is and do not want to run it dry as we have gone for a long time without any
real rain.
Sunday I worked on the window trim in the dinning room and the music room. It is nice to look at the
windows when we are eating dinner and not see the gap between the sheetrock and the window. Today I
start on building half of my built in bookcase for the music room. I am only building half because the
other half will go where the desk is until we can build the breezeway. I hope to have this built by the end
of the week if I can get all the trim I need this week.
It has been a longer process than I expected but what else is new. I must point out though that I only
work on it on one of my days off and one night a week. However the bookcase is all done with the
exception of putting the final hinges on the window seat and lining the inside with cedar. The picture
below shows the bookcase partially painted. The next project is to get the woodstove hooked up before it
gets too cold and to finish the two remaining windows on the first floor.

The wood stove has turned into an event. What else is new. The company would not install becuase our
terrazzo floor needs to be an inch thick for the right R factor. So we decided to install it ourselves but they did
not give us the correct pipes nor connectors and one was dented. So it has been a few weeks of frustration. I
managed to get the living room window trim work done and install the mantel. So we are progressing slowly.
The stain glass transit window for the kitchen arrived and I will be prepping the area for installation of that.
We are still shooting for a completely finished first floor by Thanksgiving but this too is becoming
questionable.
