The Process Cont. pg. 18

It has been slow going the last couple of weeks. All the trim work is done on the first floor however
painting the trim work is still on the docket. Tuesday Knickerbocker Woodworking showed up and
took some pictures of our kitchen to use on their web site and maybe their magizine. The railing guy
(Scott Tindal) show up with the railing but it did not fit so back to the workshop for some more
adjustments. It is hard to create something from scratch off site and have it fit perfectly. The tile
people went to get the marble for the fireplace which was ordered to repalce the broken tile but that tile
arrived in the wrong color, so back to the waiting game. The house is almost completely decorated for
Christmas and it looks more and more like a home.

Scott made it back to our house on Wednesday and installed the Wrought Iron Railing and we love it!
It is nice when something comes out as nice as you envision it to look and Scott did a great job on
this railing. Below is a picture of the railing. We also hope to have the tile in the store by this
weekend and if so installed before the Holidays time will tell.

Return Home

It is just a few days before Christmas and with all the snow (28") this month I have spent more of my
free time cleaning up snow than I did working on the house. So my goal for having the whole first floor
done by Christmas fell far short. All the woodwork is done except for one small piece of trim and I did
get the primer coat and fisrt coat of paint on the stairway which looks nice but finished I am not. I
guess I will be getting coal in my stocking but with the price of oil I might be coming out a head in this
one.
The tile arrived the other day and you guessed it the tile was broken again hopefully the fourth time is a
charm. If not we will need to go and try a different tile.
Christmas being only three days away I would like to take this time and wish all my readers, freinds and
family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Below is the picture we choose for this years
Christmas card it is of the Eddy/ Cross river on the Eddy Road as you head towards our home. May
your new year be filled with health, love and happiness.
